Our company is all about innovation
These technologically effective medical devices, such as hemodialyzers, oxygenators, filters and ultrafilters, plasma filters, hemoconcentrators, are made of thousands of hollow micro-fibers where blood flows. The porosity of the fibers membrane are specifically sized to allow the filtration and exchanges inside and outside the fibers.
We study and manufacture devices that are similar to those used in therapeutic treatment, but smaller, which is more suitable for research and lab tests. As devices made for therapeutic treatment are made of thousands of fibers (up to 12 000 in the most efficient ones), the devices manufactured by IMDF-Lab are made of only a few or a few hundreds of hollow fibers. These are called “miniature modules” or “micro-modules”.
Our products
Our products are designed and manufactured with different types and sizes of exchangers/filters, and with variables such as : the type and characteristic of filtration of the fibre, the internal volume, the exchange surface, the contact materials, the connectors.
At IMDF-Lab we are also experts in semipermeable planar membranes, their valuable properties in some specific fields, and in the specific constraints of their implementation. Therefore we can help and bring you innovating solutions for your project (adequate membrane support and exchange cells).
